The funding will accelerate the company’s expansion in the population health and direct-contract primary care markets.
Glenwood, MD (May 11, 2016) — Healthcare Interactive, Inc. (HCIactive), the leading provider of advanced health planning solutions, announced that it has received an additional $3.4 million in Series A funding, for a total of $11.8 million, to help accelerate the company’s growth. This add-on funding was led by the Maryland Venture Fund with participation from existing investors Grotech Ventures and Harbert Management Corporation.
“The market is moving towards advanced health planning services, and HCIactive’s cloud-based, integrated platform Healthspace™ is the engine to drive better health plan performance. Combined with a senior management team that has built several successful high-growth, venture-backed businesses in the past, we believe HCIactive has all of the ingredients for huge success,” said Managing Director of Maryland Venture Fund Andy Jones.
The funding will accelerate HCIactive’s expansion in the population health management and direct-contract primary care markets. The company offers a proprietary healthcare platform and advanced health planning solutions that aid employers and health systems (or Payviders) in shifting towards value-based health plan models. Most notably, the company offers online enrollment, incentive management, and wellness activities, along with primary care via health systems partners – seamlessly through its integrated platform. HCIactive’s platform also interfaces with fitness and medical devices, along with laboratory, EMR, medical and pharmacy data creating a system of record for health plan transactions for incentives.
“We are pleased to receive this additional funding and believe that our financial partners’ commitment further validates the significant growth opportunities ahead for HCIactive,” said HCIactive Chief Executive Officer Henry Cha.
